This comic was insultingly and blatantly sexist. Nicieza’s humor, paired with Maguire’s art makes for a nice combination, although the facial expressions Maguire peppers throughout are the clear draw here.

I’m also not a fan of the art, as well as the fight scenes. The second half is way more interesting. I liked the bones of the plot, but the execution was super sexist.
I can tell you that much. At one point, Catwoman, in order to escape, leads Batgirl into a private orgy club where clothes batan not allowed. Very dynamic, consistent and expressive illustration.

I was so excited for this book when it came out in single-issue form back in because I was and still am a huge fan of artist Kevin Maguire, best known for his work on Justice League International just re-read this after 10 years has it been that long? Forgive me as I parse through them. Let’s try to keep the focus on that. While not the most complex Batman story which really isn’t about Batman at allit is a very fast paced and fun read! I liked this book more than I wanted to. I don’t have too much knowledge of Batgirl, but really enjoyed the the portrayal of a really raw talent nagged by doubts about what she does on night-time.
I’m sorry Bob Kane ever thought up Batman in the first place. Fun and thrilling adventure through Gotham’s highs and lows. She is literally wearing a cat suit and nothing else. As a fan of both Batgirl and Kevin Maguire, I remembered it fondly.
There were times when I didn’t even know what was happening in a panel. Mostly it’s about Batgirl and Catwoman, chasing each other and fighting over possession of a stolen notebook over the course of one crazy night in Gotham City. I am so glad that I did, and look forward to getting my hands on a TPB of the earlier issues.
